Hello! My name is Lisa Ann McIntosh Smith. I live in Westfield, Indiana. I am the mother of 3 young adult children… all out on their own now, after graduating from college. I am going to be a grandmother for the first time next Spring!
I have worked as a Children’s bookseller for the last 9 years at a Barnes & Noble in Carmel, Indiana. I was the lead in that department for a while and loved working there! The fun part of my job was helping customers find just the right book for a new baby gift or a special book to share with their little one about how to care for a pet, celebrate a new sibling, or just have a fun story to make you laugh. I also enjoyed helping teachers find books for their curriculum topics to enhance classroom learning. While I love all of children’s media, the PICTURE BOOK holds a very special place in my heart. They are works of art! They are our first stories and the ones that stay with us through our lives.
